It was love at first sight. I’ve been wanting a leather jacket for years now. Leather jackets are an investment piece, so I knew when I came across price tags over $500 that it was going to become a mission to find one within my budget. This H&M one is everything I can ask for in a leather jacket: the carefully crafted detailing of the zippers, the quilting , the comfortable fit of the jacket matches its remarkable quality, and let’s not forget the best part of all, the price; a real leather jacket for $199! (You can find more leather from H&M’s premium quality products on their website).
There is something about wearing a leather jacket that suddenly oozes out a bad girl attitude. On top of feeling tough and edgy, it’s also very versatile, you can wear a leather jacket the way I do here with jeans and a t-shirt but also over any girly outfit to tone down a feminine statement. Either way a leather jacket is a timeless piece that is worth the investment.

Can you tell by the layers and layers of black that I am mourning the delayed arrival of Spring? In New York City, it seems like Winter just doesn’t want to let go. I opted out of the bulkiness of a coat and went for the sleek monochromatic layered look by combining a slim turtleneck, skinny jeans and smooth leather accessories to the heavy textured boucle vest.
How did you layer up this Winter?

The sporty trend is everywhere: mesh tops, track pants, jerseys, and sneaker wedges. The trend is so popular that everyone has a sporty side to them. What I like about athletic inspired looks are the embellishments and luxe materials that are intermixed. This past Friday, I went for a studded chunky sweater, skinny jeans, and sexy high heels. To give the look a sporty “edge”, I added a baseball cap and toughened it up with a moto jacket. Do you think I hit it out of the park?
I’m loving the evolving sweatshirt trend. It has become a fashion staple for many of us who enjoy being comfy and effortlessly chic. Here I’ve paired it with cuffed boyfriend jeans, a moto jacket and white pumps for a cool but sophisticated look. The sweatshirt is sort of like the LBD (Little Black Dress), versatile, classic and comfortable.

Since it was my last beach day, I wanted to go out with a bang. A cut-out one-piece was the way to go. A classic silhouette with a modern twist, and white HOT! I paired the swimsuit with a colorful cover-up, simple straw hat, and piece of jewelry to glam up my look. I know it sounds like a lot, but sometimes more is more.

The name of this dress couldn’t be more on point: “Dreamy”. It falls gracefully onto the body, shows just the right amount of skin, and flows as you walk, leaving little to the imagination. When I slipped on this delicately sexy dress, I was walking on air. The clutch from one of my previous looks added a little romance, while my go-to metallic heeled sandals made me feel like I could dance the night away. And there I was waiting for my dance partner…

After a few days of fun in the sun, what better way to cool down than to sip on a freshly picked coconut? It just so happens that I had the nails to match; Essie’s 2014 resort collection’s “Cocktails and Coconuts”. I chose this polish specifically because it was a neutral with a hint of razzle-dazzle and perfect for any and every outfit I packed on this trip. It’s also a good way to highlight my tropicool bikini. The vivacious colors from this MINKPINK bikini emphasized my tan and my curves.
