I’ve been trying to get my closet organized for weeks. This past weekend I finally got to separate some stuff and really see what I actually have. Yesterday as I was feeling those Monday blues, I decided to go to Forever 21 on my lunch break to add more to my closet. Retail therapy; it works every time.
I came across this cute little cardigan that I had on my wishlist; a grey cropped cardigan with a white ‘sheer woven silk back panel’. I thought pairing a solid color pencil skirt would look good, but that a black one might be too plain. Even though I never really tried it on with the pencil skirt, in that moment I felt like I can find something else, something with a little more movement.
At this point, I was ready to exchange it, but I looked deeper into my closet. I saw the Phillip Lim for Target skater skirt that I’ve only worn once in the fall and decided to try it on. I added ankle strap pointy pumps for less of a catholic school girl look. More times than none you will find me wearing fall pieces in the spring, mostly because colors like black, grey and navy are year-round workwear colors.
Do you stick to a color palette for work?
Happy Hump Day!
