Roaming

DISCLAIMER: I’ve had my hair slicked back lately because of the humidity and I’ve been trying to work out as much as I can to get back that ‘Summer body.’

Speaking of body, I wore a body hugging midi dress to roam the HOT and red streets of Chinatown. I kept it minimal with two of my favorites: black shades and lace up sandals.

How are you all handling the heat?

Have a lovely weekend!

xoxo, BudgetSai

Into The Woods

I spent Memorial Day enjoying the beautiful weather with a hike in the park, all while watching the military planes fly by. We get so caught up in our daily routines we forget to remember those men and women who served in our country’s Armed Forces, some of which live near by in my neighborhood. Later in the day, I dressed up for dinner plans in a vintage Gianfranco Ferre top (representing the red, white and blue), a pencil skirt and some bondage on my feet to match the crisscross action happening in the back of my top.

How was everyone’s Memorial Day weekend? Are you ladies sporting your Summer crop tops?

Talking Body

I am so in love with bodysuits right now! There are so many different styles to choose from; from tanks, turtlenecks, to low back cuts, and strapless. This one from The Reformation is laced up and budget-friendly. 🙂 Instead of black, I chose this cocoa color to compliment my skin tone. I never realized how easy going and comfortable bodysuits are. You don’t have to worry about constantly tucking in your shirt! The job’s done for you, lol. Today’s look was completed with a pencil skirt and knee high boots.

Will you be wearing bodysuits this ‘Summer is officially here’ weekend?

Happy Memorial Day Weekend!

CHANEL-O!

This past weekend I popped into the Chanel Exhibit, N°5 In A New Light on 14th street, by the famous High Line of New York City. Chanel’s N°5 fragrance was built through layers of creation, cultivation, composition, abstraction and revelation.  With science and in art, visitors and Chanel fans like myself got to see every one of those layers. Here are some of the photos I’d like to share with you and what I wore (on a Sunday)!

How is everyone’s week coming along? Any Memorial Day weekend plans?

All White

Finally! I call this look a tall glass of milk. Why? It does a body good. 😉

All white is something that’s very happening this season. I chose to explore the trend to show that the monochromatic look can work for all shapes and sizes and still be work appropriate. Pulled my hair back into a ponytail (which I never do) to let the neck and the holes do the talking. It was a day of exploring new territory. For the office’s AC cool temperatures I threw on a blazer, but kept it warm weather friendly in lace up sandals. Fashion is all about a balancing act. 😉

Do you like my all white look or should I stick to my all black looks?

Hearts On Hearts On Hearts

Feeling oh so lovey dovey on this Friday afternoon, passing by Bleeding Hearts, the love wall by James Goldcrown on Mott Street and Broome.

It’s not the first time I wear this dress, but here I wanted to add gold accents to my all black all the time outfit. A neutral lip, bright red nails and my hair down finished what I like to call a modern day Audrey Hepburn.

Happy Friday and Happy Weekend!

Welcome To The Jungle

I spent Mother’s Day with the special ladies in my life: mom, sisters and a few of my aunts. I love to get together with my family. I know there will always be laughter, food and more food!

Leopard is a favorite animal print of mine. Every time I wear it, I feel like a bad ass. You can either tone it down or tone it up like I did in a leather cuff, pouch and dainty accessories. It was so hot and sunny I felt like Tarzan moving from one shade to another just to get a good shot.

How do you wear leopard print? How was everyone’s Mother’s Day weekend?
