Autumn has finally arrived! However, the heat is still lingering, that still gives you time to set all your Summer clothes aside, pick and choose your transition pieces and prepare your Fall wardrobe. Things you can keep for fall? Open toe shoes.
The fashion world has brought out trends where women are wearing sandals in the cold (bravery if you ask me), sandals with socks (smarter) and pairing it with Summer/Fall friendly looks.
Back when I was younger, anything opened around your toes after Summer was a no no. I’m glad not only is it “allowed”, but that we are more open to expanding our choices each and every season.
For example on my last post I wore those Schutz very high heeled sandals, the first time I ever wore them all Summer -I didn’t want it to be my last. I took a stand for all the open toes out there and I put together a Fall (but still kind of warm) look. I set aside a versatile piece like a denim skirt and paired it with some of my favorite Fall staples: Summer scarf, button down shirt and completed it with a fringe handbag.
I played around with the color scheme starting with the shoe because it was the one piece I did not want to let go of for this outfit (to prove my point). I saw lots of camel, tan, the dark blue from the skirt and the olive green of the shirt complimented those colors. Perfect first day of Fall. How do you think I pulled it off?
What trends are you looking forward to trying in the fall? Any Summer items making its way into your fall wardrobe?
Love, BudgetSai
