90’s

Pajama Party

To feel like I was still doing my usual Sunday routine which is lounge around all day in sexy pjs, I went with a satin loose t-shirt dress from 7 for all mankind. Soft, comfortable and all you have to do is throw it on and accessorize. A choker and mule sandals gave the look a 90’s touch for my niece’s Sweet 15 dinner celebration at Silhouette Restaurant and Lounge. For me, mules ooze sex appeal, plus they’re more comfortable than any other heeled shoes. Soon I’ll be wearing this dress as a shirt, with a belt around the waist and skinny jeans.

How do you think I pulled off the slept in glam look? Are you ladies feeling mules as much as I am this season?

Happy Hump Day!

Love Me Like You Do

I decided to go for a low key celebration for my 10 year anniversary…a trip to the movies. What did I go see? Fifty Shades of Grey of course. It was the perfect movie for the occasion. The soundtrack is also a great listen if you want to get in the mood. I took a risk and dressed up for love and not necessarily for the weather. (Lol). Nothing says L-O-V-E like a LRD (little red dress). I went with a 50’s meets the 90’s vibe in my faux fur and choker combination.

How do you all think I pulled off my look? Did you watch Fifty Shades this past weekend? What did you think?

Silver Linings

This is my second year in a row attending the Weeknd’s concert, this time at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, headlining The King of the Fall. His lyrics are dark and creepy, but sexy behind that voice of an angel. He’s even better live, and that’s why I’ll go see him every time he’s in New York. I had a blast and you should too. Go see him at a concert near you. 🙂

For The Weeknd since he’s super laid back, I went with a 90’s vibe for the concert: choker necklace, shirt tied around the waist of my midi dress, my leather jacket and I put a modern twist to it with my Schutz lace up heels. Cool girl chic.

Are you feeling my 90’s vibe? What is your favorite concert outfit?

How is everyone’s Tuesday coming along?

SexyBack

After a week of feeling not so sexy (women!), the best pick me up was to get my hair and nails did then put on a cute little dress and be on my way. I went for brunch on the Upper East Side to a hole in the wall spot, Good Health Cafe, it is just that: good and healthy food. After stuffing our faces, we walked over to the East River to enjoy the refreshing breeze and the rest of the afternoon.

I bought this dress at the Brooklyn Flea Market for $30 bucks. As much as tried to bargain with the vendor, that was the price, take it or leave it. It took me back to my childhood years where the Gap was the hottest brand around. Denim was always their thing and it had every right to be, the clothes were made of good quality and would last me a long time. Their jeans and denim pieces fit well, whether you’re tall, short, thin or fuller, you can always find something that works. The dress fit perfect (great for short and tall women). I believe my older sister had this dress back in the 90’s and whoever passed this one along clearly delivered the message of quality over quantity, it is in very good condition. The only negative thing I will say is that it wrinkles up quickly so you want to wear this type of silhouette on a day you’re standing up all day and of course maybe, maybe just have your photo shoot before all your sit down activities!  On a positive note: I love vintage pieces with a relatable story and you can find so much at this market. I gave my 90’s dress a 70’s vibe with the platform wedges and my ‘I can’t get enough of’ floral clutch.

What’s your favorite denim piece? Do you shop at flea markets for vintage gems?

It’s Monday!
