Sometimes you’re running around looking for a new outfit for the holidays when you suddenly remember there may be a few options in your closet that need a redo. You don’t want to spend money on another piece of clothing that you’re only going to wear once! I know it may be boring to repeat a dress or shoes or both, but if Kate Middleton can do it and style it the same way every single time, you can too. -but better. Here I took 4 pieces I have worn in the past (1, 2, 3, and 4) and brought them together to give you Thanksgiving Day love.
How is everyone celebrating the holidays this year?
I spent Memorial Day enjoying the beautiful weather with a hike in the park, all while watching the military planes fly by. We get so caught up in our daily routines we forget to remember those men and women who served in our country’s Armed Forces, some of which live near by in my neighborhood. Later in the day, I dressed up for dinner plans in a vintage Gianfranco Ferre top (representing the red, white and blue), a pencil skirt and some bondage on my feet to match the crisscross action happening in the back of my top.
How was everyone’s Memorial Day weekend? Are you ladies sporting your Summer crop tops?
Last week was probably the most emotional week of my entire life thus far. It’s funny because when you’re finally happy and look forward to so many great beginnings, you forget that at any given moment there will be someone or something that will get in your way and in your path of success. But you know what? NO! I’m not having it! I’ve learned from my own independence and from my work that you can’t go out without a fight, even if the outcome isn’t what you wanted, at least you walk away with your pride and your beliefs. And that’s what I’ll keep doing, following my dreams through my beliefs. After all the fighting, you may realize what you thought was a road block was in fact just a little speed bump.
I wore my motorcycle leather jacket because I needed that extra strength to end the week right! Instead of going full on black, I added bright red heels to go with the day’s bright and shining sun. Adding a pop of color can boost your mood and I definitely needed the pick me up.
What about you? Do you ever dress so tough, you feel like no one can mess with you?

It’s amazing what thrifty treasures you can find. At my neighborhood thrift shop, I managed to find this sexy cowl neck style top. Unfortunately, it went out of business a few months ago and I haven’t found another one close to me. Ever since I was a little girl my mother always shopped at thrift stores. She says you can find anything and everything in thrift stores. She wasn’t wrong. I love a good thrift find no matter how much digging I have to do. I’ll be sure to visit some thrift stores in Brooklyn this summer, I hear there are some great ones. The grey jeans and nude pumps complimented the blue, while the snakeskin bag brought all the colors together.
