Whether you’re into a trench coat or not, it comes in handy as a dress when your laundry isn’t done. Wrap it up, tie up and don’t loosen up any of your buttons. I paired them with my Fall friendly booties and added a belt of my own, you know just in case you want to go out after laundry day.
Ladies and gentlemen, a trench coat will never go out of style and it’s never too late to add one to your wardrobe. Rain comes and goes in all seasons and we should always be prepared for it, and look good while doing so.
I purchased this H&M coat years ago because it kept everything in place. Some trenches/raincoats aren’t that forgiving. And yes some of us wear it just for a moment, but this staple serves as a great foundation for a fashion moment. You’ll be less frustrated that there is a downpour, and I’ll be sure you’ll stand out from all the rest.
What are your favorite Fall staples? How would you update a timeless look?
Since my last post, I’ve been trying to cope with some insecurity issues that are weighing me down tremendously. I’ve always known becoming an adult was going to come with responsibilities. No matter how many hours you work, there’s never enough time to get things done and the bills are endless and somehow you have to have the time and energy to deal with the personal responsibilities and consequences of being an adult. I also never expected to dislike myself in the process…
I feel like I’ve lost myself AND let myself go. I know I reassured you I was going to shine through whatever comes my way, but some things just can’t be forced. Because of this I’ve decided to take a break from blogging and work on myself like I know I should. I love my blog so much, but it’s hard to put your all in something when your all feels like nothing. This isn’t the end. I want to be happy and reflect that happiness through my outfits instead of hiding underneath them every single day…
I know I’m not alone in these experiences that life throws at you and I wanted to share my feelings with you in hopes it would help anyone going through the same.
When the going gets tough, ruffle up! Here’s my last outfit for a while. The ruffle trend is one of my favorites of the season, I just can’t get enough of it. Streetwear and athleisure is literally everywhere and this feminine look is a nice change from the new norm.
I had to try the oversized shirt trend. I played around with this men’s dress shirt using different pieces, but the same idea. My favorite ideas right now are none other than chokers and boots this Fall season. You can definitely borrow one from your father, brother or significant other at zero cost! If you can’t find a loved one, Macy’s has similar Calvin Klein styles on sale now! Who doesn’t love to walk out the house pant-less (if you feel like that’s too much exposure some short shorts underneath will do the trick), with some mean (extra mean) thigh high boots or fierce booties and a dramatic neck piece? All on a budget!
How do you feel about the oversized look? How many chokers have you collected thus far?

For brunch last weekend, I wanted to channel my inner sex kitten. So for me that’s a turtleneck bodysuit, high waist flare jeans and my never letting go leopard booties. The first day of Spring reminded me a whole lot of Winter, a high of 32 degrees. Which means, I couldn’t leave the house without my faux fur!
When I wear flares, I like my shoes to peek out just a little bit, that’s why I went with an average high heel for me -about 3 – 3 1/2 inches instead of my usual 4-5 inches. As a short girl, I can have a short girl complex so I like to wear heels as often as my feet desire. The bodysuit trend is alive and well into Spring and it’s really taking over my brain and closet, especially when there is high waist involved. I can’t get enough!
How do you accentuate your figure? What Spring trends are you most excited about?

Good news everyone! Spring has quietly sprung its way into the east coast forecast. Mornings are still cold, and if you ask me…still coat worthy weather. Nevertheless I gave a warm welcome to some of my Spring staples in today’s look. Denim transcends seasons and trends so you can be rest assured it will always be a do in your closet. I chose to wear my denim jumper dress with a turtleneck, but to keep things on the springy side, I made sure it wasn’t black! I’m no fool, I made sure to add another layer to this look in case it got colder later on in the day. This dress is so versatile and I love that it’s a little more mature silhouette of a denim jumper dress, which can also be worn strapless! Let this be a warning that you’ll be seeing me rock a lot more denim this Spring!
What are your favorite denim pieces? How are you enjoying this puts me in a good mood weather?
There’s nothing wrong with re-visiting a favorite item in your closet, as long as you keep your look fresh. This reformation bodysuit is my absolute favorite, although I’m pretty obsessed with bodysuit dressing in general these days, this one’s at the top of the list. It’s comfortable, sexy, and the color is unexpected, but neutral and can go with a lot. I like it when a bodysuit has a thong bottom, but this one actually doesn’t and the barely there “panty lines” are impossible to detect under the jeans, skirt or any bottom and I still love it as much! The bodysuit plus skinny jeans trend is everywhere right now. It’s an easy combo if you ask me, the only thing you have to figure out in the end is outerwear and shoes. I like to keep this look simple when it comes to accessorizing. The lace up detailing is enough accessory for me. Less is more in most of my cases! 😉
Happy Friday! Hope the cold isn’t killing anyone’s #tgif vibe!
A dress like this will be the ideal centerpiece of a date night, girls night out, or if you just love to dress up for yourself, go ahead you know you earned it kind of dress. 😉
I may be a big supporter of the 90’s comeback, but I’m also loving 70’s inspired looks; sultry and glamorous is my bread and butter. The bell sleeves, the v neck, and the mini length balance each other out to make the perfect dose of sexiness without overdoing it. I’m totally feeling this rusty color, can’t you tell? Bell sleeves are having a moment this season and by this season I mean Spring/Summer 2016, it’s the modern day boho, a little less free spirited, but a lot more moody.
