That 70’s Sai

I’m an 80’s baby, but why not live a little bit like my parents did in the 70’s, groooovy. For once, I thought I was in the twilight zone, I didn’t know how much I look like my mom in these photos! I’ve always been a fan of flare jeans, that’s why I still have these 2010 William Rast for Target jeans. They fit so well, it was sad to see the brand go in 2013, but that’s okay I can wear them more now that they’re back in style. My favorite trends are ones you can pull off day and night. I can wear these with a blouse or a plain white tee. I like the elongated look flares give me because I’m a petite gal. As if I needed another reason to wear heels. 🙂

Are you feeling the 70’s trend?

Remember no matter what’s trending, stay true to your style, but don’t be afraid of change.

Happy Friday and have a beautiful weekend!

xoxo, BudgetSai

Getting Witchy With It

If you’re not into Halloween and there’s no way you’re getting into a costume, but are dragged to the parade or a party, don’t panic. Right in your closet there’s a costume waiting to be created. It doesn’t have to cost an arm and a leg. Let your mind wander and think of what you’d like to become. A witch? Take out all your black clothing (I know some of us have more than enough) and start picking your favorite from the bunch, then decide whether you want to be the sexy or classic witch. Halloween gives women the opportunity to play out their fantasies for the whole world to see. Please, spare us a little ladies. If it’s a chilly night and you can’t brave the cold, do as I did; wear a turtleneck tucked into a pencil skirt, tights and some pointed boots like these Altuzarra for Target ones I snagged from the collection to give off a witchy vibe. Tights are the perfect way to stay warm with any costume. The colors are endless too. The finishing touches to your witch costume should be easy, the hat, nose and some evil green face paint! Now if you’re a Halloween fan like I am, getting your makeup done by a professional (at the MAC Soho store) can make you look like this :

That’s me last year as a Harlequin. 🙂 As much as I like to keep things under a budget, I go all out on Halloween and I’m that person who drags everyone into it too!

What are you dressing up as this Halloween?

It was time to bring out another one of my Altuzarra for Target pieces. The week is almost over, but let’s throw it back to Monday. Yes, it’s the worst day of the work week for many (especially for me), so I chose to start off on a good fashion note. You know, happy. There’s something about being dressed up in all black that makes me feel confident, sexy and yes, happy. Although it being a dark color, I don’t see it that way. And you shouldn’t either. Don’t worry, be happy. It sure won’t be the last time you see me in this sweater, just look at those cranes! Even if you don’t have the broadest shoulders in the pact, wearing a top with shoulder detail can make anyone want to do the ‘shoulder lean, shoulder lean.” Here I paired the beautiful gold birds with a black faux leather skirt and black strappy sandals, the perfect debut. I kept my hair sleek with a middle part, for an overall ‘put together’ look.

Speaking of happy, tomorrow’s Friday! 🙂

How are you rockin’ your Altuzarra for Target pieces lately?
