Sometimes we see loungewear as just that, lounge-wear, BUT -don’t you ever feel like you want to feel comfortable in something comfortably sexy too?
So for this laid back look, I cut up my leggings into capris -I just felt like the color needed to be cut down a bit and a little bare leg never hurt anybody. My men sized hoodie was long enough to cover the booty, the longer the better ladies (and gentlemen)! You can even get them as big and long as you want to wear as a dress with over the knee boots – SEX-Y! Speaking of sexy, the heels were the perfect compliment to the hoodie’s side silver zipper (so sorry there’s no close up, I promise there will be a next time).
Sexy (there’s that word again) and comfy is my mood as of late, will you join me?
How’s your hoodie collection stacking up?

Last week I ended the week in my second favorite color: red. Red is vibrant, happy and passionate. I definitely feel a great amount of energy when I wear red. This American Apparel dress comes in over 5 colors to choose from, which to me is another feeling waiting to be felt! Should I get black, blue or nude? Dark, calm or pure?
How do you feel in your favorite color? Are you feeling the heat NYC?
When we think about 70’s fashion, we envision bell bottoms, bold prints, and very high wedge sandals. I took all three of these images and made it into one modern day outfit. I paired it with a biker jacket and classic wayfarers for a fresh spin on my otherwise very retro look.
How do you think I pulled off my second 70’s groovy-ness? What Spring trends have you tried lately?
Hope everyone has a groovy week!

In honor of Denim Day I wore one of my favorite denim brands for all the things I love in a pair of jeans: a fit for the curvaceous figure , a shorter length (where I can skip a visit to the tailor), and a wash that’s clean and classic. J BRAND jeans are every woman and man’s dream. #InMyJBRAND.
Experimenting with clothes has always been a passion of mine. Sometimes I can wear a trend and make it my own, but not all trends are made equal. There’s just some trends that don’t suit my style and that’s okay because I’d rather stay true to myself.
As I get closer to 30, I’ve eliminated clothes that just aren’t me anymore, but a trend that I will never grow out of is the 90’s trend. Maybe it’s because I lived through it. Of all the 90’s trends, my favorite is most definitely plaid. The shirt that will always be in my closet has to be this red and black plaid flannel, it’s a bold accent to even the most casual outfits. I love to wear it tied around the waist more than anything. To make the ensemble look a little grown, I wore my favorite ankle strap heels for that extra push. You know that extra touch…especially with the red lip. 😉
Do you have a statement piece that always does it for you? Do you go mad for plaid? Is it the only thing keeping you warm these days?
April is just a couple of days away… Happy Friday my fellow Budgeters!

I never really been into fur until I borrowed this jacket from my sister. I loved the way it looked on her New Year’s with her Pixie Market dress. She joined me on the Altuzarra for Target adventure and the jacket was what she got from the whole collection, while I bought one too many pieces! I thought it would be a huge fashion statement if I wore her faux fur over my turtleneck dress for my sister’s Chanel theme birthday party, and keep it on all night. Chanel + party + fur = tres chic. 😉 The only other accessories I added to my look were cocktail rings for some bling against all the black.
Are you adding (faux) fur to your outerwear collection?
What do you think of my sister’s Chanel cake?

Speaking of those years, I went to an all girl high school, Notre Dame in the West Village. What an adjustment.

Below is the sweatshirt I created on Bow and Drape‘s website. I just love a Made in NYC brand. The sweatshirt is cozy, fashionable and makes a great shameless plug. Wink, wink. You can pair it with a skater skirt or jeans for an overall casual look.
What do you think of my 25 fun facts?
How would have you designed your sweatshirt?
