Fe-brr-uary Twenty Freez-ing

February was way too cold! I cannot wait until tomorrow…when my vacation officially begins. That’s right New York, I’m leaving you for somewhere warm, vibrant, and full of sunshine. For now, here are some of my Instagram posts (scroll over the photos for captions) from this past frigid and gloomy month.

Follow me on Instagram: @budgetsai for my daily routines, family functions, throwbacks and much more of my everyday life.

Hope you’re all having a lovely weekend! Buh-bye, February… hello, March!

PS- Stay tuned for my vacation posts!!!

Match Made In Heaven

It’s been too cold (freezing actually) in New York, and my photographer has been working on some other projects lately and will be for another week or so, but I’m finally back! The best way to improvise with such tragic conditions is to share my daily outfits from inside my apartment, which is still under renovations. I have very little furniture to move around and can easily use any wall for a back drop! (And he takes good photos too).
For a late night friend’s birthday dinner, I wore a very cool piece from H&M. Really, I fell in love with the thumb hole at the end of the sleeves and so I had to have it. It sort of looked like boxing gloves and made me feel real tough wearing it. Surprisingly this is something I can see myself wearing over and over again. My style is written all over it: black, has a turtleneck and fits like a glove.
How are you all on the East Coast surviving the cold?
What has been your go to clothing item this Winter?

Viva Las Vegas

I’ve been away for a few days and it’s been about two weeks since my last post, but now I’m ready to show you more inspirational summer outfits.

Here I am wearing matching separates. Ever since this new trend evolved last season I knew I had to have it. Crop tops are great and all, but the matching bottom makes it a 100 times better, especially if it’s a matching pencil skirt. You may think this particular set is too flashy for a daytime look and can only be worn in situations like Vegas, but that’s not the case. I bought this with the intention of wearing it during the day as well -the pencil skirt more than anything. Instead of the matching top, wear it with a white button down or crisp white tee to tone down the sparkles, a burgundy or nude lip -if you’re not into color lipstick during the day; keep the gold accessories: pumps or ankle strap it and you have yourself a work outfit for now or later (add a denim jacket)!

This is the only look from Vegas I could share. Next time (if another bachelorette party) I’ll make sure to bring my camera everywhere.

Happy Hump Day!
