Almost All Everything

Ready for the weekend? I know I am! I’m also ready to get back into my all black everything wardrobe. Fall can you hear me? It’s been way too hot in NYC and although they say the best color to stay cool in is white, I stick to black (because no sweat marks and no sheer catastrophes!). This right here was also another birthday outfit worn during the day for my nephew’s high school graduation. The graduation was outside in the blazing heat, so I had no choice, but to wear black andย not look drenched as many did. I love how it ‘fits like a glove’ and accentuates every single curve. If you got it, flaunt it, but don’t sweat it, literally.

Instead of going almost all black from head to toe, I dipped my feet into a classic white leather pump (and Edelman Icon) and a seductively red pout for that POP to POP that thang.

My hair was a no brainer, again with the heat I like to pull my hair back in a sleek bun to avoid frizz. This look reminds me of the Simply Irresistible video. Watch it!

A big congrats to my nephew who is going to Rutgers University to pursue a career in professional baseball. ๐Ÿ™‚

Happy Weekend Team No Sweat! Stay Cool!

That In Satin

I’m back (insert crying emoji)! I shut myself out of social media to give myself sometime to deal with insecurities, my self-conscience-mess, and other personal issues.ย I just needed some time to think about what I wanted in life. I found myself constantly thinking about my career goals and how to set things in motion so I can reach those goals.

As for blogging- I thought about whether I should continue on this journey? Could I continue without getting sidetracked with self doubt and negativity? Can I do what I love and love myself in the process?ย I hope so.ย Sometimes you forget why you start something and it becomes something you had to envisioned sometimes for the better and sometimes not. I started this blog because I wanted to share my style for those who like to look sexy, chic, and stylish without breaking the bank…unless they can and want to. Regardless, I am here to stay through all my ups, downs and your budget needs.

I’m 32 now and a new set of responsibilities have taken over my life, but there’s always room for a good time in my book. For my birthday a few weeks ago, I wanted to stand out and not go the usual LBD (little black dress)ย route. Satin is having a moment right now and I am totally for it. Who doesn’t like the softness, sensual, sexy feeling when you throw on a dress like this one. You also can’t go wrong with embracing color in your 30’s or at any age.ย If you have somewhat of your s*** together -you should feel sexy in the process.

It was my first time wearing a pair of Aldo shoes and I have to say they did not disappoint. I could have gone with a simple ankle strap, but I was dying to get a pair with all that fluff on the front band. They’re affordable and even more now that they’re on sale! Super feminine and playful for a night out on the town to celebrate my born day.

I normally keep it very simple, so simple many of my outfits you’ll see are accessorized with just a sparkly stud, but this Summer I’m blingin’ it way out and keeping it cool in hoops and layered necklaces.

Thank you for all of your kind words and birthday wishes. I promise to be back and better than before!

Are you experimenting with Satin this season?

This Means Business

Working at an office, I’ve always thought how can I get through this workwear rut. I don’t like button downs (I do but just not at the office), blazers over button downs, slacks -like are we going to an interview everyday of our lives?! Let’s give a new meaning to going to work, one of the things people say is do what makes you happy, and I say if it doesn’t, look like you are!

Sometimes I may get out of hand and confuse happy with sexy and then I’m just doing whatever I want, appropriate or not. So I’m trying to find a happy medium and share my findings with you. Today’s outfit: I kept it high enough and long enough without anyone catching any feelings. The bodysuit was comfortable and covered all of my upper lady parts, for $10?! Sign me up! The shorts probably belonged to a blazer sometime in the past, but this time around,ย  I let them go it at alone. I added this bold cuff from the Balmain for H&M line. Who doesn’t know Oliver Rousting? He has dressed the likes of Jennifer Lopez, Kim Kardashian and all of her family. It’s almost been a year since his wallet friendly line for H&M. Question is will he ever do a line FOR the less fortunate? Will he sculpt our bodies the way he does these celebratory women? I’m all for it! Just say the words! For now, all I could get my hands on from this line was this superpower bracelet/cuff. It’s gold, my favorite metallic, shiny, big, it’s me. Maybe I too can be a part of his army.

The newest H&M collaboration line is nothing but extravagant, prints on prints on prints, well -way to go Kenzo. I thank you. Cookie cutter is not what it’s all about these days, personification, expression, liberation is what we can all relate to. I look forward to November 2016, as long as I can get my hands on something!!!

How do you make your workwear work for you?

What do you think about the Kenzo for H&M line? Will you suffer? Usually a month or 2 in advance they give more sneak peeks, stay tuned for the never ending mind games fashion has to offer…

Happy Weekend!

xoxo, BudgetSai
