Jewel Toned

How is everyone doing today? As the end of the year continues to be very, very busy for me I have to pass by quickly with today’s post. I’ve been dying to wear this knit top like everything else I buy and don’t get to wear until months later, but here I finally did. I did with a black pencil skirt and black ankle strap heels for a clean, simple, but classic chic look. A blinged out top doesn’t need much styling, what it does need is to stand out and pairing it with black does just that. Pencil skirts are great with crop tops, I’m sure I’ve said it before, but the scuba fit of this one works wonders -you can pull up the skirt high enough for the right amount of coverage as it smooths out those tiny little flaws or pull the skirt down for those who love to show a little more skin because it truly is a flexible fabric. This material is everywhere right now; skirts, shirts, bags, hats and much more are made with this extra stretchy material.

Are you digging the scuba diving look?

Happy Hump Day!

Cozy Up

This past Sunday it felt like an official Fall day. Temperatures were very brisk, but romantic enough to take a walk in the park. Perfect for football too. Go Giants!

I brought out one of my few knit sweaters for the “cold” weather; they can really keep you warm, but in my case -hot! I can only wear them if I know I’ll be outside the whole time. I don’t recommend any indoor knitwear. The skirt is one of those pieces of clothing in your closet you’ve never worn, has actually made it to your give away pile, but ends back in your closet like “one day, one day I know I’ll wear it.” And that day was Sunday. My Mulberry for Target bag hasn’t seen the outside world since I got her back in 2010. I really need to show more love to my prized possessions. Can’t forget the boots now, they too have a story. They weren’t supposed to be part of my Altuzarra for Target shopping spree, but after I had seen how sexy they looked on another fellow collaboration obsessed, I decided to give them a try. What do you think? Good purchase?

What are your cold weather essentials?

Are you ready for boot season?
