TLC for your LBD

A little black dress goes a long way. You can’t go wrong with one no matter what the occasion. This LBD outfit was inspired by KKW on her trip to Cuba. I put this look together for a bachelorette party I attended 2 weeks ago. A bachelorette party or a club night is the only time you should go this short. Then of course there’s KKW that went sightseeing with all that sexiness. Instead of going for the choker with a cross like she did, I chose a heart locket velvet choker. Ever since I was little, I’ve had an obsession with hearts, so my 2 chainz moment both had pretty little hearts dangling from my neck. I kept my hair loose even though the heat made it impossible to keep it that way! Then there was the shoes: Stecy never lets me down. Ankle strap shoes are classy even with a mini dress. For a mini dress, I think the more delicate the shoe, the better. Stay away from platform shoes to avoid looking extra clunky and trashy. Also, opt for simple makeup for the girl who who wants to balance out her sexy.

Let that LBD shine!

Happy Hump Day!

Fur Old Time

I never really been into fur until I borrowed this jacket from my sister. I loved the way it looked on her New Year’s with her Pixie Market dress. She joined me on the Altuzarra for Target adventure and the jacket was what she got from the whole collection, while I bought one too many pieces! I thought it would be a huge fashion statement if I wore her faux fur over my turtleneck dress for my sister’s Chanel theme birthday party, and keep it on all night. Chanel + party + fur = tres chic. 😉 The only other accessories I added to my look were cocktail rings for some bling against all the black.

Are you adding (faux) fur to your outerwear collection?

What do you think of my sister’s Chanel cake?

Bon Voyage 2014

Happy New Year!

Thank you all so much for all your likes, taking your time to comment and for all your support throughout the year. I appreciate it more than you know.

I can’t believe 2014 is gone and my one year ‘Budgetsai’ anniversary is right around the corner. I am thankful for all the love I’ve received from family, friends and those I’ve met along the way. I didn’t realize I wanted to do this until a friend told me to start a blog after using Instagram to share my daily outfit details. I was always interested in what people were wearing, but people would also ask me where I got what I was wearing? And I would actually feel like really? This? I’d tell them where, then they’d ask how much? And I’d say not much actually. I noticed that there were not too many budget style bloggers out there so I decide to give it a try. I love to share my budget finds with all of you and help out those close and not so close to me look for budget-friendly pieces whether it’s an everyday wardrobe, a night out on the town or just because you love a great deal.

Looking forward to share more of those great deals in 2015…

What would you like to see more of on my blog in 2015?

Below are some of your favorite looks of 2014:

Fresh End To A Fresh Start

Last week I went out on my lunch break for some retail therapy. After Christmas, the deals are phenomenal, especially at Joe Fresh. I racked up on some much needed essentials, like this dolman tee. Basics can always be mixed in with the next set of trends, sometimes you’ll buy something now and still wear it for seasons to come.
I love a slouchy top, boyfriend jeans (also from Joe Fresh) and pumps on a casual running around kind of day. Yes, I run in heels!
What trends do you look forward to in 2015?
Roomy denim? Military greens? Shirtdresses? Or maybe you’re as excited as I am to try All White Everything?
Have a Happy and Safe New Year! See you all in Twenty Fifteen!

Celebrate

If you’re thinking about your holiday outfits, you’ve come to the right place. This weekend I put together two outfits that might inspire that two faced (no pun intended) girl in you.

For the ultimate girly girl, a flirty romper with so many potential looks, is a great start to the holiday season. One way you can dress up this romper is by adding black tights (without is also fine, but I would go with a pump if you decide to show some skin), a standout cocktail ring and a suede black clutch to match these bad ass Zara booties. I noticed an extra emphasis on the body by wearing this romper so all body types are welcomed, feel free to add a belt to accentuate your waist. Let your hair down and party the night away!

Now if you’re not in a girly, girly mood this season, sporty and minimalistic is another way to dress for all the festivities. A football jersey inspired top that’s silky and flowy tucked into a high waist skirt, top it off with an ankle strap heel and you got yourself a simple, but charming party outfit. Pulling your hair up into a ponytail with this look keeps it cool and sophisticated. Try it!

As for me, I like to have many choices according to my mood and most importantly my personality. Stay true to yourself and your closet.

Which black and white outfit would you wear? Are you the flirty girly girl or the sporty girly girl?

Look Number One:

Look Number Two:

…Baby One More Time

Another baby shower, another late night, but this time we’re expecting a boy! All I need on a Friday night is to bring out the sexy in me. You see when you’re at a party expecting to dance all night, ideally you want to wear something that hugs your body. Just think dancing with the stars. If you’re the type of person to sit in a club the whole night, maybe you should come in pajamas or just stay home! I’m all about dressing according to one’s mood. If I’m dressed like I’m going to a party, chances are I want to party and my energy, my vibes will show that.

This is probably the second time I’ve worn this dress. I love the high neck line and criss cross detail over my lovely lady lumps. Last but not least, it fits like a glove! The shoes are also barely worn, but if I can have every Boutique 9 pointy toe pumps, I would! They are just too practical and this multi colored one brightened up the dress just right!

How do you all think I pulled off my party look?

Have a wonderful weekend! See you all back here next week!

Frozen

This past Saturday was my niece’s 6th birthday party. The Frozen theme turned out to be a huge success and she was very happy to have Elsa and Anna attend her special day. After all she is a princess herself and princesses get together and do princess things. My sister and I thought it would be a very cute idea for all the ladies in the family to wear frozen t-shirts and style it in our own way. First we found one at Forever 21, then JCPenny had more of a selection, but not many in our sizes, Kohl’s had everything we were looking for. When I think of a graphic tee I automatically think jeans and sneakers,  but I totally went against the norm pairing my tee with a leather mini skirt and a black blazer. As much as would have liked to be in heels in my sister’s backyard, I probably wasn’t going to be able to move around as much so instead I added my Prabal Gurung for Target sandals that I haven’t worn at all and a bunch of my favorite bracelets to my outfit, keeping it young and fresh for a kid’s party.

How do you wear your graphic tees?
