Thankful Repeat

Sometimes you’re running around looking for a new outfit for the holidays when you suddenly remember there may be a few options in your closet that need a redo. You don’t want to spend money on another piece of clothing that you’re only going to wear once! I know it may be boring to repeat a dress or shoes or both, but if Kate Middleton can do it and style it the same way every single time, you can too. -but better. Here I took 4 pieces I have worn in the past (1, 2, 3, and 4) and brought them together to give you Thanksgiving Day love.

How is everyone celebrating the holidays this year?

Slit Ends

This here is my dress to impress, but nowhere to go look: an easy going camisole, a sexy skirt with a thigh high slit, and gold shoes. You never know, if last minute plans are in your future, you will always be outfit ready for one. 🙂

Who else loves to dress up on a daily basis? How was everyone’s weekend?

Peaches and Cream

They don’t call it Transformation Tuesday for nothing. The weather went from gloomy to beautiful instantly yesterday, I had no choice but to dress for the better part of it. I took a risk with cream colored flared pants. Normally a higher waist and a darker shade are much more flattering, but hey you only live once! I went with same color palette in a vintage snakeskin print semi-cropped bustier that only showed a tiny bit of skin and the nude favorite that go with everything. No black in sight. I suited it off with a DVF jacket. The rest of my lunch break I spent strolling through the streets of SOHO with my sister. Even went into Mitchell Gold & Bob Williams home store for inspiration. In love with their Bastille Chair!

How do you think I did with a light monochromatic look?

Will you ladies be wearing cropped tops this Spring/Summer?

Happy Hump Day! Happy Earth Day AND Happy Administrative Professionals Day!

The Blueprint

I want it to be warm badly, enough to wear dresses and skirts without tights, but for now that’s the only thing I can do! Here I am in a throwback from last summer, wore it with the same boots from the outfit before I went to Tulum. The boots give it a 70’s vibe yet again although the dress itself screams vintage, that’s cause I got it at Crossroads Trading. They have so many great selections from all eras!

Oh Tulum, why couldn’t you rub off that warmth on me so I can rub it off on New York? As I’m sitting on the train writing this (the best time to gather my thoughts for outfit posts) everyone is wearing black in this car! I’m the only one in color! Winter what have you done?!
Guys and gals, it’s Spring! It’s okay to wear color!

Bon Voyage 2014

Happy New Year!

Thank you all so much for all your likes, taking your time to comment and for all your support throughout the year. I appreciate it more than you know.

I can’t believe 2014 is gone and my one year ‘Budgetsai’ anniversary is right around the corner. I am thankful for all the love I’ve received from family, friends and those I’ve met along the way. I didn’t realize I wanted to do this until a friend told me to start a blog after using Instagram to share my daily outfit details. I was always interested in what people were wearing, but people would also ask me where I got what I was wearing? And I would actually feel like really? This? I’d tell them where, then they’d ask how much? And I’d say not much actually. I noticed that there were not too many budget style bloggers out there so I decide to give it a try. I love to share my budget finds with all of you and help out those close and not so close to me look for budget-friendly pieces whether it’s an everyday wardrobe, a night out on the town or just because you love a great deal.

Looking forward to share more of those great deals in 2015…

What would you like to see more of on my blog in 2015?

Below are some of your favorite looks of 2014:

A Walk Down Everlane

Last Tuesday I went to the Everlane showroom, met their down to earth team and got to hear a little bit about their journey into the online only shopping site. I found out about the brand through another blogger and was fascinated by the simplicity, but good quality of their clothes. My sister and I have been a fan ever since. I was able to try on a few of their newer pieces I’ve been interested in and I hope to get my hands on them soon. In this day and age every girl should have a few inexpensive wardrobe staples (like the tees and tanks that start at just $15!) in their closet to pair with jeans, denim cut offs (in the summer), flats, heels and or sneakers. I kept my look simple for the event in an Everlane tee, blazer and skinny jeans, but added a little bit of sexy to the beautiful basic by pairing it with snakeskin pumps and rosy cheeks.

What do you look for in a t-shirt? With so many to choose from nowadays, it’s hard not to be picky!

Hope everyone had a relaxed long weekend! 🙂

xoxo, Budget$ai
