…on a Saturday afternoon. My feet were still burning from the day/night before so I took a break and paired my leather mini and bodysuit (again) with one my favs, Converse low tops. Thinking of purchasing high tops for more of these low key Summer weekends, what do you think?
I spent Memorial Day enjoying the beautiful weather with a hike in the park, all while watching the military planes fly by. We get so caught up in our daily routines we forget to remember those men and women who served in our country’s Armed Forces, some of which live near by in my neighborhood. Later in the day, I dressed up for dinner plans in a vintage Gianfranco Ferre top (representing the red, white and blue), a pencil skirt and some bondage on my feet to match the crisscross action happening in the back of my top.
How was everyone’s Memorial Day weekend? Are you ladies sporting your Summer crop tops?
I spent Mother’s Day with the special ladies in my life: mom, sisters and a few of my aunts. I love to get together with my family. I know there will always be laughter, food and more food!
Leopard is a favorite animal print of mine. Every time I wear it, I feel like a bad ass. You can either tone it down or tone it up like I did in a leather cuff, pouch and dainty accessories. It was so hot and sunny I felt like Tarzan moving from one shade to another just to get a good shot.
How do you wear leopard print? How was everyone’s Mother’s Day weekend?
Nature is all around us, but in more places than others, so it’s hard to stop and appreciate. Say what you want about the busy city of New York, but when Spring arrives, there’s nothing like it.
I enjoy the outdoors when I’m out working on outfits of the day, to sit and take it all in one deep breath at a time. Here I am wearing an oldie, but goodie DVF dress from a sample sale. I wore it to a Baby Shower this past weekend in Long Island. I love the color purple and it fit right in because my friend is having a girl!
Happy Cinco de Mayo! Hope you all have time to take a celebratory tequila shot because Spring is finally here in NYC!

I’m back from my mini girls trip, but I needed another day off for some peace and harmony. I always take an extra day before going back to work -it’s a necessity in my life! It was a beautiful day in the neighborhood so the best way to wind down was to head to the park and enjoy the scenery. Major fail! Bugs were under attack so I had to get out of there as soon as possible!
Even on my days off I like to be stacked up high. I wore my Bebe wedges with this floral number that I’ve worn before with a jacket for those cooler days. I love to find a piece of clothing I can easily transition into the next season; definitely more bang for your buck!
What is your favorite transition piece in your closet?
